Everyone has their different ways to stop hiccups. A few days ago I had hiccups, which was quite bad, and the normal ways didn’t work. Huh ? What do I mean by normal ways ? Well, you know :

1. Drink a lot of water.
2. Hold your breath for 30 seconds.

These were rather what I call my traditional ways that I always use to stop my hiccups. Sometimes it works in an instant, sometimes it takes a while to work. However, suprisingly, that day it didn’t work, because it was taking TOO long. I’ve been hiccup-ing for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and it’s driving me crazy…Normally the longest would be half an hour.

Suddenly, I remembered one episode from Honey and Clover II that I watched showed a few new ways to stop hiccups. The method that are shown still involves water, but are rather unique :

1. Stretch your neck and try to drink water from the other side of the cup.
2. Take a glass of water, puts two chopsticks in a cross over it, and drink from each of the four areas that the chopsticks form.
3. Mix the glass of water with sugar ( 1 spoon ) and drink.

So, since I already tried my traditional methods, I decided to give these a shot. Obviously I can’t do the 1st one ( I doubt anyone can. :P ), so it’s between 2 0r 3. I couldn’t find any sugar, so in the end I had to use the second method. However, turns out to be that I don’t have chopstickes too…oh well, that’s easy. I just imagine that the chopsticks are there, and drink from the areas that the chopsticks are supposedly to form.

Slowly and slowly…

Hey, it stopped ! No, seriously it stopped ! Wow…I’m definitely going to add this method to my list. :D Next time I’m going to try the 3rd way, and if possible, the 1st way as well. :P

P/S: Just an update. I asked my brother to try the 3rd method, and hey ! It worked ! :D Now I have to try the 1st method.
