I woke up around 6.00am, but decided to continue my sleep a bit, since I practice like hell a few hours ago. Thank God Nazrin called me around 7am, if not I don’t think I will be waking up. ^^;;; In a few hours left, Games Anime Comic Circle will begin, EMiNA first national event ever since the club has been established.

Will the event rock ? Will it be a success ? Some people doubt that whoever proposed the idea should be shot to dead. Some say we won’t pull it off. Are they going to be right, or are we going to prove them wrong ? I went inside the car, and drove to MMU, with full anticipation, excitement, and also worried.

Upon arriving at MMU, I saw a few working coms setting up the banners and banting outside of the hall. After parking my car, I went in the hall, with full anticipation, and not too mention worried at the same time. I hope everything was ready. When I went into the hall, I was stunned. The hall looked absolutely amazing ! The fact that they completed the decoration of the hall within one night was simply amazing !

They’ve done their part, now its my turn.

Since there was still time, I took that opportunity to practice a bit. After that, I had to do something that I didn’t want to do, that is cosplay. Yup, I cosplayed as a random shingami, thanks to Aizat for the clothes. Reason why I cosplay ? To grab people’s attention during the opening ceremony. My bro’s tips :

“In order to get the crowd to focus on you, you need something to attract their attention, and cosplay is a good idea”.

Only for the opening anyway, so shouldn’t be much of a problem. xD

Around 9am, we still haven’t practice the opening ceremony, and I’m starting to get worried. The practice should have been yesterday, but they all were busy to complete the decoration for the hall, so there’s nothing much I can do about it. With that, I just to continue my speech practice. Oh, forgot to mention, Li Sa’s sisters came to the event ! xD Damn, should have asked their phone numbers. xDD They look so cute !!! xDD Too bad I didn’t haven’t much time to talk with them. T_T I did manage to say hi though. xP

Anyway, around 10am, we opened the hall to visitor. Yeah, at the beginning, we didn’t have much of crowd, and a lot of people began to get worried. I honestly wasn’t worried, because somehow that I day I felt that we are going to expect a good crowd. Besides, it was still early to tell. We did our short practice for our opening ceremony around 9.30am, which we should have practice a long time ago. ^^;;

Around 11am, the our VIP’s arrived, but Aizat told me that we should wait for the Comic Fiesta ( CF ) people, since they already passed the Ayer Keroh toll. I decided to hold the opening ceremony for a while. Around 11.15am, the CF people arrive, and the crowd is getting more and more. Here we go baby, this is my part now. Nervous and excited at the same time.

So, I went up stage, and did my stuff. At the beginning, I was a bit nervous and shaky, but after that, the true Ahmad Khurshid was revealed. My true self that I hide from my friends, which only family knew, was shown on that day. I’m glad that many people enjoyed my emcee part. The line that was really pumping for me was this line :

Are you ready to rock ? No no no no, we gonna kick of this right today. When I say are you ready to rock, you say “Yeah”. ARE YOU READY TO ROCK ???

THEN LET ME HEAR EVERYBODY MAKE SOME NOISE !!!!

I’m really glad many people enjoyed my MC work. Some of my friends didn’t believe that I was behaved like that. I just chuckled when I hear that. Lynn told me that she doesn’t want to be my MC partner because she said I was already good. ^_^;; Err…thanks, but I’ve still got more to learn. Anyway, after the opening ceremony, suddenly a swarm of people rush into the hall. I just couldn’t believe at the wave of people. It was like…1000 people plus ! I did expect a crowd, but I didn’t expect a huge crowd like this !!! Everything is looking good, and from there I dared to say that the event is going to be a successful one.

But our event isn’t without problems. After the opening, there was suddenly a large commotion at the back. However, being an emcee, I have to continue staying in front. Later, Hsia-Liang came to me and ask me to make an annoucement to everyone to be careful of their belongings. I wondered why ? He further explained that one of the cosplayers lost his items ! O_o! Oh my gosh, this is bad. So, after that, all of us we very worried. Hsia-Liang even asked me to get a gun and shot him. =.=;; That won’t solve anything dude…

Thank God one of our working coms found the missing item. It turned out that the missing item was carried by the person’s friend ! -___-;; Anyway, we were all glad that the ‘lost’ item was found and returned to the owner. After that, not much of problems happened.

Anyway, I was very busy during the event, so I didn’t have much time to enjoy my time there, and attend to my friends from Cyber, like Shafik and Aizat1900. Sigh…oh well, thats a job of emcee, nothing much I can do about it. My job that day was to control the event and also make annoucements. Sigh, it’s a very tiring task…I had to walk around the hall for most of the time. Same goes with most of the highcoms. People I saw who were really busy on that day was Qj, Datin, Nikki, Benny Tan and Shu Yin. The rest, not too say that they weren’t doing work, but I see these people frequently running around the exam hall. For lunch, I only had chicken rice for that day, if you can even call it launch. T__T

During one of the these times, Kristine came to me, looking really happy and she said that she was really happy to see such a huge crowd. Yup girl, we all are. I’m glad to see all our hardwork finally paid off. I guess everyone was motivated because of the crowd. People who stayed over night and didn’t sleep like Aizat, Nikki, Adib, Datin and the rest looked so energized. I guess the crowd keep them going. xP Anyway, during the gap between 1pm - 3pm, it was a bit boring because we didn’t have much event on the stage. However, things started to get spiced up during the cosplay competition finals. It was really fun, with the judges and contentants behaviour. I’m a lazy to describe what happend, so if you wanna know what happen, ask me or anyone who went to the event personally. :p Oh, I got the sweet slap of love on that day from one of the cosplayers. xD

After the cosplay competition, the photographers from Starz and The Star came to take some photo of the cosplayers, so at least there were some time for me to take a break. Feuh…just a short break to the toilet and also a short rest. Anyway, after the phototaking session, we had a short quiz. The prize was Aquria KLCC tickets. Damn I want the tickets. xD

Nothing happend between 5.30pm until 6pm. 6pm was our closing ceremony. Nothing much happen during closing, just prize giving to the winners and a few words from the highcoms.

After our closing ceremony, they all decided to throw me off the stage. >_< ;; So, I fell on my right shoulder from a 5 feet stage. After that, I called upon all the people to come up the stage and join for a large photo taking group. With that, ends GACC06 and my God it ended with a bang ! We all were happy to see event went well, despite some small errors. We don't know if there is going to be a next year for GACC, but if there is a GACC07, see you guys next year !!! xDD

P/S: There are things that I regret on that day, the fact that I couldn’t attend to my friends, I didn’t get to snap pictures, and also my MC part for the opening wasn’t recorded. from the begining.
